• Army troops continue relief, rescue in flood hit areas of Balochistan, Sindh :
  Pakistan Army troops continue relief and rescue operations in Shahdadkot and Kamber in Sindh and Turbat, Khuzdar, Sibbi, Gwadar, Jacobabad, Jaffarabad, Nasirabad of Balochistan and elsewhere in the country which has been devastated due to floods.
• Locusts could reach India and Pakistan: Swarms expected to cross Indian Ocean :
  Desert Locust swarms from Ethiopia and northern Somalia are expected to cross the Indian Ocean and could reach India and Pakistan in the days to come, as reported by agencies. This potentially dangerous situation should be closely monitored in both countries. .

  SEDC-LUMS Geographical Information System (GIS) gives the exact geographical view of the required area with basic information like total population, male & female population, rivers, roads, no. of school etc. Currently the system has been developed till tehsil level of the Punjab Province. The LUMS GIS team is working on enhancing the system for all provinces.
